One of the recognized EMI teacher training programs for 114 Academic Year: Open MOOCs – English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), a fully online course sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, free of charge. This is a self-paced course, allowing participants to progress at their own pace without fixed class times.

The course is designed to introduce the theory and practice of teaching disciplinary content in English. This course will help participants re-develop their existing courses or create new ones that use English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI). Upon course completion, participants will have a portfolio of materials they can use in their own courses. Upon successful completion of the course requirements, participants will receive a certificate of completion issued by the U.S. Department of State.

Teachers who earn the certificate will be recognized as Senior EMI-certified instructors at our university. Those who also participate in additional activities as required may apply for EMI training award, with awards ranging from NTD 5,000 to 30,000, depending on activity level.
