The NTPU Bilingual Education Office runs the EMI/ESAP TA Training Program to provide EMI/ESAP teaching assistants with more high-quality and professional course-leading skills to assist teachers in carrying out EMI courses smoothly and improve teaching quality.

※EMI courses: Professional courses of various departments taught in English (excluding language center ESP/EAP/A-EGP courses).
※ESAP courses: The bridging courses offered by the Language Center which help students improve their English ability and successfully enter the EMI course in the future.

1. Eligible Participants:

• NTPU students who have planned or are willing to serve as teaching assistants for the EMI course/ESAP bridging course offered by the school teachers or serve as the English conversation team leader of the Language Center.
• English proficiency above CEFR B1 level is recommended to carry out the training course successfully.

2. Program： Physical Training + Online Quiz (※ Only by attending the physical training on Sept 8 and completing the online quiz will you be considered as passing the EMI/ECAP TA training.)

Physical Training Information:

(1) Time: 12:00~16:30 (Fri.) Sept. 8th, 2023
(2) Venue: Room 1F09, College of Humanities.

Online Quiz Information:

(2) There are five questions, each worth 20 points. Participants must complete the online test to assess their learning progress, with a passing score above 80 points.
(3) The test questions are accessible from Aug 10 to Sept 8. There is no limit on the number of attempts for participants to repeat an unsuccessful test within this period.
(4) The list of qualified teaching assistants for the 111-2 EMI/ESAP courses will be announced on Sept 11. From Sept 12 to 30, go to the Bilingual Education Office in the Language Center (Room 308, College of Humanities) to receive your certificates.

(1) How to register: Please fill in the online Google form and upload your English Proficiency certificate for registration.

• Lunch will be provided. This program is for NTPU students only.
• Successful applicants will be notified by mail.
